Celebrating sleep

As part of “an international campaign to raise public awareness of sleep health,” the World Sleep Society has designated March 14, 2025, as World Sleep Day. This day of recognition falls within the U.S. National Sleep Foundation’s

Sleep Awareness Week, this year March 9–16.

And insomnia sufferers are expected to drive spending on sleep aids to nearly US$7 billion in the next 4 years.

Increasingly, these consumers are seeking non–habit forming supports without side-effects. As a practice with overwhelmingly positive side-effects, yoga fits the bill for many. More important, though, these professionals can help people to develop long-term practices that bring their whole systems—mind, body, and spirit—into greater balance for regular, reliable sleep.
